Wiring

08/01/06 A few people have asked if I have a wiring diagram for the car. Unfortunately I don't and as I'm totally useless at any kind of artwork, sketches or diagrams, I probably never will - it would take me years to do and it would be the size of a barn door. I did however compile several tables that I referred to when wiring the car. These listed all the required components, connections and colour codes. I've reproduced them here in case others find them useful.  Bear in mind that I used two donor cars - the main loom, column switches and instruments came from a 1990 Metro GTi 16V SPi. The engine loom and MEMS ECU (MKC101610) came from a 1994 Rover 414 SLi MPi. Different models and years may have different colour coding and/or pin layouts, so use these tables at your own risk.
